The 1st Annual Bloom Community School Grown-Up Spelling Bee 11/15

November 15, 2019 07:00 PM

Can you spell V-I-C-T-O-R-Y? How about F-U-N? Then you're ready for the First Annual Bloom Community School Grown-Up Spelling Bee hosted by WGLT's Ryan Denham at nightshop on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.

Register to compete and spell your way to prizes OR to spectate and cheer on the contestants (you'll even get the chance to boost their success through audience participation!). We'll warm up with categories like "You Really Should Know These Words" and "Can You Spell At A Fourth Grade Level," and then get those brain cells buzzing with words that are "STEM Stars" and beyond!

You can sign up individually or with one or two other spellers. Since teams will be comprised of three members, those who sign up solo or in a duo will have the chance to be placed with celebrity contestants like the 2018 National Spelling Bee Winner's 7th grade teacher, or a published author! Register to compete or spectate here: http://bit.ly/2AWeERL

Raffles for prizes and a Split the Pot will be part of the evening's activities, as well as a Silent Auction for unique services such as dog training and logo design.

All proceeds will benefit Bloom Community School in its mission of providing innovative, inquiry-based, community-connected learning.
